KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Cyber Security Operations Analyst s duties include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze security event data from customer computing platforms, network elements, and security devices;
- Input customer data, perform system/network inventory, operational ticket submission, request tracking, and problem resolution;
- Frontline customer support and incident notification and triage;
- Generate and maintain operational process and training documentation;
- Provide input to constantly improve our products and services to add value for our customers;
- Perform health checks on relevant operational systems;
- Generate routine metrics and operational reports;
- Perform threat research on emerging cyber-attacks that could impact our customers;
- Other, as required.
TECHNOLOGIES:
- Basic Microsoft Office skills--Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Familiarity with Windows OSX, and Nix* based operating systems
- Exposure to endpoint security tools such as McAfee, Crowdstrike
- Exposure to vulnerability management platforms such as Rapid 7, Qualys, NopSec, Tenable, Open VAS, FireEye
- Exposure to System Information and Event Manager (SIEM) platforms including but not limited to Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm, McAfee Enterprise Security Manager (ESM)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Cyber security experience; 2+ years
- Possess good organizational and interpersonal skills and broad experience in interacting successfully with both technical and non-technical people
- Ability to analyze and effectively communicate and escalate security findings
- Certifications preferred for the equivalent of CompTIA Security+, Network+, ITIL Foundations.
- Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
- Great communication and follow-through skills
- Diligent at following process and creating documentation
- Understands defense in-depth
- Stays abreast of current security/technology topics
- Desire to expand knowledge/certifications in information security
